Well what better time than now to work on a couple of heart projects, this no sew project is super easy and the same effect could be applied to good quality paper hearts. instead of fusible webbing you could use double sided tape..... with Valentines Day coming up its a perfect project.
This mobile was very easy to make.. heart template, fusible webbing, thick cream crochet cotton and fabric in 9 different colours, cut out 9 hearts in fusible webbing and 9 sets of pairs in the fabric.. place heart fabric so the right side is facing down, then a piece of fusible webbing, laying the cotton down the centre of the heart, then pop the matching pair on top with the fabric right side face upwards.. place hot iron firmly on top and move iron over, tah dah, leave a good few inches or centimetres inbetween each heart, repeating until finished.
I was determined to master the making of this origami crane, first up I watched u-tube, it was going a little too fast for me, then some paper copies with easy instructions! mm after a number of scrunched origami sheets, finally a result, still don't think its perfect, but not bad for a first time try.
Bonnie's off to school soon, so an artsmock is needed. How cute is pink and white stripes, with polka dot pocket.

Learn new skills = silver jewellery making course
Holiday in winter in a warmer place
mm and of course focus on what is best for the workplace that I manage!
Enjoy, enjoy, enjoy is a good motto for the year I reckon

To brighten up Christmas
This evening I whipped up a pear and an apple.. the collection for the table is growing!
I received some lovely xmas fabrics in the mail, one of the chosen ones was the red floral that I used to make this gorgeous apple. I've had my eye on this terrific Heather Bailey pattern for ages.. easy to make project :) The pear is next.... I hope to make up a little bowl full to display on the coffee table during Christmas decoration period :)
