The Visitor Centre staff employed by Parks & Wildlife Service will welcome you to Hastings and provide tickets, information and serve snacks and refreshments. You can also purchase your souvenirs from the Parks Gift Shop. From the Visitor Centre walk to the thermal pool or drive a further 5 kms to Newdegate Cave.
Not many visitor attractions offer variety such as swimming in a thermal pool of around 28 degrees celcius, taking short walks through a wet sclerophyll forest with fern understory where one can see contrasting cold creek water and adjacent thermal spring water.
Hastings, Newdegate cave is dolomite rather than limestone and is thought to be millions of years old... trained guides lead you through this spectacular world class cave.
