I live in Tasmania's Huon Valley, an area consisting of rivers, ocean fronts and beaches, mountain ranges and lush green farms.
I'd love to hear from you, so if you visit my blog please leave a comment.
This is my soul winter effort in the way of craft... eco friendly crocheted dishcloth.. The cotton was purchased from Spotlight : ) Just cast on as many stitches as you want, then its treble crochet, at the end of the rows I did 2 chain.. on the returns into the next stitch.
Believe me those who have seen previous postings.. it is growing I now have 61 squares! Pinks, creams and browns.. I have used pure wool, so it should be lovely and warm in my retirement years, whenever they may be!
This little crochet basket was easy to make, I found some similar ones on this website. Its a piece of felt for the bottom, stitch around in running stitch and then pick up the running stitch in single crochet, from there I just did rounds of double or treble crochet to vary. Little Bonnie came to visit the other day and she picked it up and stretched it onto her head, she obviously thought it was hat!
I've been plodding away, crocheting more squares. It is helping to fill in my day when the shop is quiet and hopefully the rug will be finished before next winter!
I have started crocheting a rug, probably be a long term project, maybe a very long term project! A few squares a week though and I suppose it will grow rather quickly.
I have chosen a mushroom theme - pinks, browns and creams.
