Driving to Work - Beautiful Southern Tasmania

We take a lot for granted in the place we live, often our minds think of all sorts of things while we are driving to and from work, ... over the last few weeks I've tried to keep my mind thought free and concentrate on the beautiful scenery, with clear frosty mornings and snow capping the mountains, ...its all about the beautiful place in which we live and the views that many people would be envious of..

Wild Weather in Southern Tasmania

A super cold weekend in southern Tasmania.  Yesterday morning dh who is a construction coordinator with Council, decided we should leave very early and head down to Southport, an hour away to check out the sea damage.  Very wild weather the night before saw the seas rise over the road and most of the shacks on the foreshore or across from the beach would have had some water entering them.  And yes thats snow on the ground!  It snowed and hailed while we were there....... and dh work crew radio'd through after we left to say there was an inch of snow on the beach... wow unheard of conditions prevail.
